I hear that, mine used to love riding with me until an inattentive driver hit us 10 or so years ago.
She is still trying to deal with it. Scared to death of other drivers while on bike.

She went down on hers due to a bad driver, she's just a lot more carefully now. She's still terrified of mountain runs after going down in some sand in a hairpin
