I'm looking for the page from the old drummer site that had the instructions for removal of the pipe. I have the race pipe on now (Dealer installed) and I'm going to install my new Drummer (Thanks Brian, its the one you sent to Michigan and was heading to Ontario) Anyway, just wondered if anyone has that handy just as a helping guide for tonights project...

There was just a thread up here called Drummer Sound Clip.

Someone put the link to the site on that thread, search for it.

Yeah I was lookin for that thread. Couldn't find it so thats why I posted this. Anyway I took it off myself, very easy, about 10min later it was off. Just waiting for the drummer now. Couldn't resist starting it with just the header pipes, reminded me of my 1200 sporty with Samson 2 1/4 open pipes, very sweet! Well I have the lower chin faring off, I painted the center portion that was stock gray and always dirty, to flat black. Looks much better.

Now hurry up and get here Drummer!

Canadianx what paint did you use to spray the grey. I might do the same. How do you think it will hold up under riding conditions?

I cleaned the surface really well, washed and dried. Then sprayed on Tremclad Flat Black. Letting it sit overnight. Dried very quickly and I think it will hold up well. My Drummer is just down the street at my cousin's house. But nobody is home! I can see it just inside the door. Man I want it now!

Excellent I like to see that. I was wondering why they painted that grey instead of black.

Not sure, all it does is show dirt, and road grime. Just checked how the paint was doing, all dry and lookin sweet! Should have a pic tommorow with the drummer installed.

Drummer is installed, and looks and sounds sweet! A much lower rumble, not as high as the race can. Just going out for a test ride. Great work Brian, I'm very pleased! Thanks... Will post a pic soon.

Kevin's old site was www.patmedia.net/haynesfam. Its still up. I told the new webmaster to copy that muffler removal page to the new site (I wrote it after multiple on & offs). I guess he hasn't gotten to it yet.

Just out for my first test ride, sounds great! Looks much better too. Hard to tell performance wise, I did have the race can. Speaking of that, anyone interested in a race muffler for a 9?
