well its colder here now i live in ia. but it does like to pop on decell which from reading some reviews that sounds kinda normal. but one thing i did notice that i was concerned about was i was letting it idle for maybe 8 or so mins and noticed the back header was glowing a hint and i dont know if thats normal or bad. as for how it performs i supose its ok. i really dont have anything to compare it to.

I have the jardine on my uly and ran it for a few hundred miles before my ecm came in. Bike runs an awful lot smoother with the ecm and there is no popping on decel. In my opinion it was well worth the money.

glowing headers is totally normal on all four stroke motors with fairly thin-wall exhaust.

Yes you can do your own tuning but I doubt you will find any kind of custom tuned map for an '08 on the net.

You need to find out which firmware your ECM has on it. Also what is the part # on it?

Check out xoptiinside.com. Mike has everything you will need on his site.

Another myth....funny...!
NO it's not normal OR desired.
A little ignition timing advancement will cure the problem in seconds. The ignition timing is retarded to meet emissions standards.
Not only will the red go away...but it'll "run better" also.

Then if you really want, dig into the fuel mapping also..! I'd bet with proper timing and fuel mapping changes, your bike will be a whole new animal...better mileage, drivability AND performance.
