My wife is 5'2, too small for Superhawk, XBR or SV, but fits well on an XB9S Low. I was thinking I would like to buy a 9R, but put the suspension bits from a 9S Low on it and then some Sharkskins full street bodywork (she has to have a a race rep looking bike, the whole naked thing doesn't do it for her when it comes to bikes). Then she'll have a totally unique bike that looks sharp and fits her. An older SV with the padding taken out of the seat and sharkskins would be similiar, but not nearly as cuell.

Rumor has it that the 9S is gone but the 9R will still be here for 05. Buell should still build a low model so I'd wait a few weeks and see what they do. To the best I know all the suspension bits are interchangeable but someone else will have to give you the definitive answer.

To the best of my knowledge the parts are interchanable, forks, rear shock . But the seat is the only thing you loose out on, the seat height is not that different between the R and the S. like .4inch so most of it is just the suspension.

Jonathan,
seems like Laura(XB9R) 5'4" and Bev(XB9S) 5'3" both have Works performance shocks on their bikes. Both bikes are smaller than a XB9SL.
