I noticed my engine light staying on after refueling yesterday. I turned it off and went to restart it. After starting it the light went off and a few seconds later came back on. I turned it back off and let it sit. I went to start it again and when I flipped the run switch it primed and the light went off, but i let it set for a few seconds and the light came back on again with out even starting the bike. The bike is a 2007 XB9R with 8,000 miles

Has anyone had this problem or have any advice?

It means you have a trouble code stored in your ECM. Use ECMspy or a similar method to retrieve the code and see what it is upset about.

I used the count the flashes on the dashboard method to get a code last summer. The problem (blown fuse) even cleared up on its own after I bought a box of fuses.
