Hello all, I haven't posted in a long while but have been trolling the posts. Well my 09 Lighting XB12scg developed a problem this morning. I went to start it and the engine did not turn it felt like there was too much pressure in the engine. I let go of the ignition rocked the bike and it started but now it is idling very low and coughing. The bike only has 3000 miles.

My first thought is fouled spark plugs but any other ideas would be welcome. If it is the spark plugs what should I go with?

I could be bad gas or gas with too much alcohol in it, try better gas and a long ride, 3000 miles is sure soon for problems, my xb12r had 20000+ miles on it before i had my first problem with the stator.

I did get gas from a station I don't normally stop at. Is Seafoam safe for Buells?

How much gas was in the tank when it was doing this? If the tank is over filled it could cause this issue.

NGK Iridium plugs are a good plug. I use the DCPR8EIX.

I've used Seafoam with no issues.

It's actually near empty I took a ride to the island about 50 miles away and did a round trip but stopped to fill up shortly after i started the ride.
