Author Message   Vospertw Posted on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 - 04:42 pm:        All, Have the 2010 ECM flash on my 09 Ss. Easy to notice the difference in fan management. However, it seems to have changed idle speed management a bit - essentially bumping the idle speed up 300-500 RPM when the bike is in gear. Go back to neutral and it settles back in around 1000-1100. Seems to run fine and I'm assuming it's an "improvement" to help off-idle performance, easier take off, etc. Anyone confirm this?   Froggy Posted on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 - 04:49 pm:        Yes all the DDFI3 bikes will raise the idle a tad to make it easier to take off.   Vospertw Posted on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 - 05:00 pm:        The only downside I see is that it reduces the amount of engine braking available. I was probably a little strong in terming it a "downside".
