Author Message   Jneiljr Posted on Friday, February 19, 2010 - 09:44 pm:        Any one out there using the Toura-Tech panniers? I'm very interested in getting a set for my Ulysses. I was particularly interested in the 45 liter set. These should be large enough to put my Shoei Sonnora helment in. Did you get the top case rack from Toura-Tech as well as the panniers?   Kev187 Posted on Friday, February 26, 2010 - 09:20 am:        I got the rear rack from www.twistedthrottle.com its a fehling rear rack. Then I purchased the touratech top case & universal mouting bracket (the universal bracket has no holes, you drill them yourself, super easy & it comes with several size mounts) To use the fehling rack with the touratech side racks, you need to file a small gap in the touratch racks (non structural & its easy) its about a 1/8th area to allow the fehling space. Then just get longer bolts from lowes. Be carefull not to cross thread, the threads for the racks on the Uly are super soft metal. I have had this setup 2 years now, its tough as hell. I was rear ended by an flh on a group ride (long story) he hit the side case, dented it, the uly then fell over on the side case. The aluminum case got banged up, but the racks held their own.
