Need help with trouble codes on my 07 XB12Scg. I think they're ground related. I have three wires grounded to the left side and two grounded to right side. I've filed the contacts to ensure there isn't any paint/corrosion and screwed them down tight, but I'm still getting the trouble codes. The bike cranks but will not start up.

Byte 1: C0
Bit 6: Trouble Code 11, TPS short to supply voltage
Bit 7: Trouble Code 36, Fan short to ground or open

Byte 2: 84
Bit 2: Trouble Code 23, front injector short to ground or open
Bit 7: Trouble Code 15, intake air sensor shorted to supply voltage or open

Byte 3: 00

Byte 4: 80
Bit 7: Trouble Code 44, BAS short to supply voltage or open

Does anyone know what my problem might be and how to fix it? I'm kind of stumped.

no help here but do slop dielectric grease on all grounds u loosen and clean.make sure to cover the ends,the bolts and the wire up over the insulation so the corrosion is minimised up the wire.same with battery terminals and any plugs (lights etc).

Have you removed the air box base yet? Sound like some wires may have melted together, like if the wire bundle came loose and laid against a head.

Haven't removed the airbox base yet, didn't think I'd need to.

Some additional background: I recently swapped from a the XB S tail to an XB R tail, then swapped back. The bike only had about 20 miles with the XB R tail on. The harness was not altered anywhere near the engine. I unplugged the ECM, bank angle sensor, etc, but everything was reconnected and I double checked the connections, so I don't think that's it.

It is possible the ground between the tail spars and the main frame has been lost.

How can that be checked? How are the tail spars grounded to the main frame other than the bolts holding the spars on?
