After hearing all the great things Englishman119 had to say about Marcus' work, and reading the tech articles he did on the bike I asked Marcus do some magic on my XB9S/R this weekend.
I opted to have the oil changed out to a heavier oil, the bushings replaced and the fork seals were replaced. He changed the ride height on it also, increasing the height in the front by 2mm - this from his knowledge gained while working on Mark's bike.

The difference this made in my riding around the track was incredible even to me. I had so much confidence in my bike going into the sharp turns, especially Turn 3 (Map of TWS http://www.roadracinghelp.com/LessonBook/TWS%20Maps.htm )
This is a sharp right hander that I had a great deal of speed on the approach. Usually when I would get up on the brakes and down shift I expect my nose to dive in and I have to wait for it to come back up before I initiate the dive into the turn - this was completely gone now. I could take the run smooth as silk and just plow on by (and with that torque, you do kind of plow on by the turns).

This was the first track day of the season down here, so there were a large number of people who wanted to have "The Magic" done to their bikes. Despite all that (and the large number of "off track excursions" that occured) Marcus still had time to come over to my paddock and do some fine tuning to my bike.

Anyway, Marcus - My hats off to you for the great work you do and your commitment to your customers. I could write for another 30 minutes on how impressed I am by how my bike is, how how impressed I am by you coming over to my paddock several times thru the day to follow up with me, but I gotta run to work now.

Thanks again man, hope you and Godfrey have a good season this year.

Phil,

Thanks for the nice words. The R&D done with Mark's bike has paid off very nicely.

For anyone interested in optimizing their Buell's handling, the service Phil received was my basic service that costs about 160.00 including Bushings and forks seals. It will really wake your Buell's handling up. The fork oil level, viscosity, and general services I do on the fork is the key.

I do a lot of mail order/service and you can send in your forks for service. Shipping info is at www.roadracinghelp.com. You will receive your forks back with ride height instructions and forks preset for success.

Thank you Phil for allowing me to be part of your successful day.

Marcus

Marcus just out of curiosity, I have at my disposal a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6-RR with the fully adjustable suspension and such...Would it be worth/possible to swap out say the rear shock with the adjustable ride height?

Yeah,

If you are simply trying to get ride height in the rear, I thought the ZX-6rr's had a threaded clevis at the top so you could shim up the rear.

I will take a digital pic later today and post what the set-up looks like. I was just thinking it might be a less expensive way to get more out of my suspension.

Marcus -
I just confirmed with Scott H (The VP Fuel Guy) that I will be taking delivery on my F4i this weekend at Oak Hill. Me and a buddy are making a trip up to Oak hill so you can "do the magic" on our bikes before we head to the ridesmart track day next weekend.

....and if you thought that was good Phil, you would be astounded at what the adjustable rear ride height did!!! Save up some money an let Marcus do the Full Treatment at both ends.

I'm already saving up. Trust me, Im already saving up. I clock in at about 250 in gear, I know I need the weight matched springs.

Mark - Are you going to be at the track on Saturday? I saw on your site that you are racing Sunday.

Its Saturday night as I sit here and write this. Unfortunatly the chain drive conversion has beaten me - No race day for me Saturday or Sunday. Im just a little PO'ed. Sorry to anyone who was coming to watch. I'll explain the problem when my temper has cooled a little.

Mark

Don't feel to bad. Misery loves company and I won't be making the race tomorrow either.
