Looking at my brake pads, it looks like they need replacing in the next couple of months. I have no problems with the stock ones. Has anyone replaced them with other than stock? Comparative prices, etc.

Thanks

I got a set of SBS pads from Trojan. Here in the UK the stock pads are £60 ( $108 at todays rate ) the SBS ones are £18.99 + delivery. Better feel but a wee bit less mileage is the word on the street. Ive gotta take the wheel off to change em though.

You shouldn't have to take the wheel off...

After a couple of sets of tires, I am a pro at getting those wheels off. Front 5 minutes, rear about 10.

You do because the ZTL caliper removes toward the hub and the forks are in the way. Gotta move the wheel backwards and up to remove the caliper.

The pistons were very easy to retract too, did it with my fingers, and the whole job just took me 15 mins.

The pads work and feel great. Ill see what kinda mileage/mess I get.
