I also finally lost my sensor. Interesting fact to check. The sensor didn't go bads it shorted out. The wires rub thru where it was all tucked up under neath the cover. Just that lil spot where the wires are exposed. So on the new one I wraped the exposed wires in tape and tucked back in carefully.
another just a lil fyi for ya

True, but on the 9s (no reports on the 12S or 12R) the supply to these sensors is regulated to 5 volts (which is not coincidentally exactly what the filters I am building do)

Bubba:

you should order part number Y0199.K and follow the instructions. It comes with a new speed sensor.

Do it and shut up.

I went and checked on that part. Now I have to wipe off the screen because I spit on it. I went and read the instructions man I must be stupid or arrogant. Because for the extra $26 that it cost I like my electrical tape thing better.
But I've been know to do things wrong before.
But I must say At first glance it seems like not much. I'll look again.

you know me I can't just shut up and do anything.
just not in my character

HOOORAY! Somebody needs to get one of these things and see what they are doing in there. I would love to see a copy of the instructions as well.

Brian, where is the speedo sensor in relation to the tubers, and should everyone be wrapping theirs?

I stopped at a local dealer on the way home last week and checked on that part number. $72 and not in stock. Could someone post a pic of the new assembly or instructions? Just curious.
