Yup they're pretty loud. I run the quiet tip insert in mine, makes it sound just right.

I run one on my 05 Firebolt. It's loud, but not that bad. It's nothing compared to some Harleys around here in VT.

i run the jardine on my cityX it is loud , but not that bad. i have found that different helmets will effect the volume of your exhaust.

How does it run with the quiet insert? I have been thinking about that set-up for mine.

This is all by the seat of the pants, but I think it loses some top end but seems to pull better at the bottom. It could be all in my head, but that's how it feels to me. maybe someday I'll dyno it with and without the insert, but I doubt it.

Typically, added backpressure will give you some low-end torque and take away high-end horsepower.

I myself find the Jardine to not be too loud. Yes... it's loud, but my ears aren't ringing at the end of a ride. Maybe it's the helmet?

I've run mine with and without. I like the sound with, and it also seems to help with decel popping.

Your right guys it might my new Shark RSR2 that made it sound that loud, I loved the sound but my ears hurting wasnt great. It might be the fact that there was a concrete wall dividing the highway too. If I get the pipe with the bike I m still planning to get a drummer or spec ops with the stock pipe so I might have a Jardine for sale at one point with a trade too for a S suspension

I wear ear plugs all the time. Not so much for the exhaust, but the wind noise.

Ear plugs?! I thought the wind noise and sound of the exhaust was why we ride motorcycles.

Ear plugs on a bike is like driving a convertible with the windows up.

I thought feeling the wind through our hair was why we road motorcycles? Wear a helmet?! pfft might as well drive a cage everywhere... Right, right!?...

So you'll stop riding when you're no longer able to hear those things because of the damage they caused? Willfully exposing yourself to guarenteed hearing loss is just dumb; it is not just a 'risk' it will happen. Motorcycles are a big reason why, at only 21 years old, I have tinnitus, and a 'bad' ear.

I like the sound, I don't like the noise. Earplugs take care of that.

Well I guess thats a part of my problem so yes I have started to wear ear plugs now and the Jardine will probably be less painful

I used to think like this until I tried it.

I wear ear plugs. With my Scorpion Helmet, the sound seems to reverberate in the helmet and actually amplify.

The can is actually louder than I would like. I have not had any troubles with my Jardine, other than it is too loud...
