I think I heard that you could hook up the ECM Spy to A palm pilot.... Is this right or was I mistaken. If so can you hook it up to a Palm Treo... The Palm Pilot Cell phone that runs windows....

Yes you can hook it up to a Palm. It gives you a listing on the ones you can use. This is my next project after I get the cable hooked up.

Also, for the palm, you would need to build a different cable.
You can check the ecmspy website for the parts for this.

Ok I set the TPS on my bike last night. Works great. Till this morning. Start the bike and it struggles to stay going. No problem reset the TPS to a higher setting. Thats when I hear a pop when turning the flex screw for the TPS.
Any one have an extra TPS screw?

No problem at all. You need a serial (modem-) cable an a RS232-to-TTL converter. You will find masses of these offered at common auction platforms.

The USB cable however is much easier to handle.

"Any one have an extra TPS screw?"

I didnt think the TPS had an adjustment screw, thought all adjustments were done through software. Are you talking about the Idle Adjuster cable located between the right side scoop and the motor?

Sorry I was frustrated when I wrote that. Yes it is an Idle Adjuster Cable. The Cable has no clearance at the end of it and the ignition block. 1/4 turn more than needed and it froze up. Would not go in or out.
I silver soldered it back on to the bolt. The crimp was not that great on it.
All is well.

I tried this setup and everything worked like a charm. I had zero problems resetting the TPS. I used the laptop setup with USB cable. Everyone should get this.

I have an 05 race ecm in my CityX, and ecmspy has no problems with it. I have the original version of ecmspy.}
