Yes I finally got one but no pics yet but you can use your imagination since its completly stock with exception of the frame pucks. I paid $6000 for an 05 12R zero scratches and still looks brand new with only 6200 miles on it. Talked him down from $6800, It's all I had and he was a great guy about it. Yes I was smiling the whole time once I got out of that crappy San Diego Gas Lamp Traffic. Stop and go for about 30mins. Fan was screaming at me to get some speed . I guess I need to change my name now. |

Good luck, man. I have a 2008 XB12R with 4,800 on it and have had nothing but problems. Love the bike when it runs. |

They made a lot of changes to those 08's. I'm kinda treating them like a new year bike like the 1125r. Not going to buy one until a year or two later. |

Wish my sales guy would have mentioned it was basically a first year bike. |

Heyyyy John great to meet ya. I usually ride with my friend Mike (he has an F2 I call Frankenstein Mix of an F2 F3 and an F4i all in one) on Sundays its my day off I get to ride. We usually hit Palomar Mnt, and go through Julia, Ramona, Borrego and quit a few more places, maybe we can meet up some time. Check out Mikes website he has both our cars and bikes well now my Old bike up there to view with a couple of photos from Rick Clemson that were taken on palomar Mnt. and in the forum section we have all our favorite riding spots mapped out. Feel free to sign up were always looking for people to ride with. http://www.musclecross.com/ I just got my first Buell (FINALLY) TODAY YEAHHHHH. I love this Firebolt but its hell getting used to since I used to scrape up Palomar on a Dynaglide. But trust me this Dyna would surprise the hell outta you. It did quit a few riders. I'll miss that bike. John have you happened to have gone to Moreland CHoppers in Solana Beach Before? I've seen your bike before but can't remember. (Message edited by wantxbr on April 27, 2008) |

Wish my sales guy would have mentioned it was basically a first year bike. Well technically its not a first year bike but that how I treat it since all the mods they did are quit extreme. Such as and entirely new fuel injection. That turned me off right away for atleast a year...lol But it will get all worked out. Be patient I know its frustrating. Try being the one that has to work on these types of machines its equally frustrating. |

Think the 08s are bad? Try dealing with a brand new 2003, truly a first year bike, purchased in 04. Or, even worse, a Tuber. But I did know what I was getting into, they are Buells, they have personalities and soul. I do my own wrenching so it hasn't been an issue for me. I actually enjoy wrenching on 'em. With that said, my '03 9S has only had very minor issues, while my '04 12S, purchased in '05, has been as reliable as the day is long. Anyway, congrats on the new bike. The more you ride the more you'll fall in love, and you'll most likely look past the little stuff that come up, IF anything comes up. In 05 most all bugs were worked out. Try dealing with a brand new 2003, truly a first year bike Except for the headlight (Firebolt), I've had no problems, nor have I any regrets. Headlight fixed by replacing the housing and changing to HID... |

Congrats WantXBr guy. We love our '05 12r. With yours, you should immediately remove the RH headlamp assembly to inspect for POTENTIALLY a defective reflector coating.A FEW of us have experienced burnt off chrome coating leading to poor illumination.Don't dismiss the issue until you inspect for it. ONE here caught FIRE!! Not trying to antagonize(as in the past),just trying to inform you to a POTENTIAL safety risk. |

I've already read about the headlight and did look through the lens and without disassembling it I could still tell it's going bad. However the light is still bright but the beam needs to be adjusted higher. |
