but im not sure if its stock length.. I may just cut down my stock one. They are just too long on the Ss and look kinda funny.

Anyone got a stock hugger for an Ss laying around for cheap(free) let me know!

That one is exactly like stock, only made of carbon fibre (I have it on my Ss). If you want shorter than stock, then you want this item:

As a matter of fact, I do. This was taken before I replaced the plastic sprocket cover with the American Sport Bike Carbon Fiber one:

Ian, my current Buell is an STT and mount the same swingarm as the Ss and Uly... But the Lorandiresine CF is "designed and manufactured" in Italy, maybe this is in conflict with your nickname...!

You can fit the hugger from a 2006 - XB12S/XB12R etc to the XB12SS, and this is a much shorter item than the stock XB12SS/XB12X item.
http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/42.html

It does not have a one piece hugger/belt guard and needs the separate belt guard to complete it if required.

This conversion will not work the other way round. i.e. you cannot fit the XB12SS hugger to the shorter wheelbase XB12S/XB12R because the hugger has a large indentation that will contact the tyre on these models.

S/R rear fender on a long swingarm looks so ugly... and leave the lower shock mount exposed to the dirt.

ha ha. no i like it it looks good. im going to have to check them out.

Trojan, i didnt think the regular s parts would fit because of the longer swingarm. i guess i have more options then.. i do like the option of having just the hugger without the belt gaurd!!
