A bunch of us did track school again this weekend at Shubie and once again we had a blast....

The Buell got more comments than any other bike there and the instructors mentioned how well it carried speed through the corners :-)

How were your tires after the session?

I have seen some tires on other bikes that looked like they would be no more good for regular street use after a track day. I want to go to one, but if I'm going to mess my tires up, I'll wait until I can afford a new set.

It's amazing how quickly the tires return to "normal" when you're done on the track and ride back home.

This past May my rear tire had little balls of wadded up, melted rubber here and there... especially on the sides. When I got home I wanted to show them off to my buddies... but they were all gone!

I always go to Superbike School (or C.L.A.S.S.) with brand new tires, and then put maybe another 6-8,000 miles on them before I chuck 'em for my next session on the track. I only go once a year though.

The only golf I play involves using just one club, along with windmills and little buildings made of fiberglass...

Cool... I guess the Track Condition and your riding style will play a big part. Oh not to mention the quality of the tires you have! I guess I should be happy the Scg came with Diablos on it!!
