Well,
Talked to a engineer (Buell Co) this weekend about the Stainless pipes.

Two things.

1. They are not coated!

2. It is the metallurgical properties that cause the change when heat is introduced that gives it is gold color, that then changes as time and riding go on.

We also had a beer and laughed at all of you ;)
