Goop hand cleaner works well, also. Rub it on (use a tooth brush in hard to reach areas) and rinse it off.

Got to be careful with Contact Cleaner as I bought one for cleaning plastic and to my horror, it "melts" the plastic (lucky not on my bike!).

Simple Green or similar cleaning agent will do the trick. I did on my bike and had no problem with.

Honda Contact cleaner will not harm plastics or paint. You must of used another brand which is intentional for brake cleaning only. I've been using Honda stuff for as simple as getting sticker adhesive off.

just for my input, i have used Gunk since my bike was new and have't had any problems (16000 miles later)

This stuff works great as well as an all around cleaner for the whole bike.Made by Honda



I will probably have to try the contact cleaner as well.

I use Honda Spray Cleaner Polish on my body pieces. It work's the best.

I too use the honda polish, its the best that ive used so far.

It works on your helmet and visor really well too. Bugs are no match.
