does any one see any reason not to overfill the oil in a XB12 about 1/2 qt or so. Mine starts knocking if its at 12 oclock for a long period of time.

Most the stunt riders fill it real full.

When overfilled the vent will blow the oil into your airbox (unless you re-route and use catch can).

For stunting it would seem that's a better option than starving the engine of oil. I know the stunters fill it up very full, but I don't know what they do about it blowing into the airbox.

you CAN fill the swingarm to the very top of full, but ONLY when the engine is fully warmed up. dont overfill a cold motor, or one that has been sitting a while.
