will the clear air box from the lightning fit on the firebolt? the dealer can never answer that or any other question.

yes, they are the same bike. 2 diferent riding positions.

Define "clear air box'. If you mean any part of the inner or outer airbox yes, they will fit.

thats what I thougt but when I asked the dealer their answer was that it wasnt in their parts catalog so they didnt know. When will there be a hd/buell dealership that knows anything more about the bike than the sticker price

I think he means the translucid outer airbox cover.
