Well Id like to waste your time off the start by saying that this group of cats ( meaning you folks) are 1 of a kind, and I hope there are more of you in the world, cuz nothing but good stuff is read here.

Now that thats outta the way
>>> IM NOOB!! <<

I haven't purchased one yet, but I am planning on gettin' me on of them there
be-youlls. I kinda have a hard on for the XB9R. I'm just not sure if I should go new, or used.. Well OK yea new is better of course!~ I'm just not liking the fact of spending 11 grand (Canadian) on a bike, so thats like $9681.39 USD ..I have seen a few used 03's for 8 G canadian --7041.01. 2 grand aint that much..

My question is this;

What are the differences between an 03, and an 07, besides esthetics wise, and yea i know..03 is older.. Nice try dood.
(Me like Diablo tyrez)

Thanks yall!! It's to bad that all the people who ride there gsxxr'sn-Ninja1000z like to just rev the Bejesus outta there rides,wear nothing but helmets-flipflops-track shorts WITH passengers like to 'draft'( in teams of 4 ) 240KPH on a 110KPH hi-way with moms-n-minivans giving them heart attacks.

welcome!

great, just what i need. another screenname to be confused with mine just dont start being militant, all-knowing, and a pessimist (and financial expert!) who really loves another brand more but puts up with a buell..... (inside joke - not at ALL personal to you!)

the welcome is sincere, hope you find an XB9R for the price you want. if you see one for under US$4K - grab it - thats about as low as they go. the older ones have a different belt (that maybe people upgrade, though i havent had an issue with mine). 2006 and newer have a cool airbox vent above the gas cap. 2007s come stock with pirelli tires - a $300-400 savings in itself! i'm sure others will fill in more details.

yes pirelli diablos are great - i run them on my buell track/racebike. i run the pirelli scorpion syncs on my buell streetbike.

enjoy,
D

Don't forget the upgrade from 41 to 43mm forks on the 05+ models except the scg's.
You can't tell the difference from the seat.

Also the 05+ all have the "nipple" in the air box lid to help air flow.
03-04 the 9's did not have that.

I can't think of anything else right now.

BTW welcome to badweb!

I hope you enjoy getting your Buell and riding it as much as I do!

The swingarm was redesigned either last year or this year.
The tranny and clutch mechanism was redesigned in 04 or 05.

Steer clear of lone star in winnipeg.
150 miles one way from North Dakota and they stripped my primary drain plug and didn't re tighten one of my bar ends causing it to fall out on the ride home.

The swingarm was made lighter and looks different and better.
I'd call that an upgrade.

the new swingarm is reportedly more rigid as well.
