I ordered a set of Magnecor "Electrosports Series" 8mm wires for the xb9 w/10k on the clock. Im also coupling them with new NGK Iridiums. But I digress... The "Electrosports Series" aren't Magnecor's top-of-the-line "KV-85" 8.5 "race wires," but i just have stock ignition anyways...

Does anyone have any opinions or experience with Magnecor wires, specifically the "Electrosports Series?" Thanks!

I run the KV-85 wires with my Dyna ignition system on my Ducati. They work fine.

No FHE with the Electrosports Series.

Any idea on what the ohms resistance per foot is on those? You don't want to go much below approx 1000 ohms per ft otherwise they may induce stray EMI (electromagnetic interference) that can cause havoc with the ECM and other electricals.

I tried adapting some Jacobs high-perf spiral core wires once and almost blew up the ECM. But they were only about 200 ohms per wire -- much too low resistance. Finally settled on the stock '04 wires as replacements for the '03 stuff.

There can be some advantages to running high-perf wires but you don't want to stray too far from the factory specs on the ignition system.

Excuse my Ignorance, but what is FHE? (As a federal employee, I am even more embarrassed that I am not privy to this acronym)

according to their tech specs page, resistance is 3,000 ohm/ft, +or- 10%.

Also, "provides excellent RFI and EMI suppression to permanently eliminate the typical performance and fuel-wasting spark energy deterioration of OE and aftermarket carbon conductor wires. Also overcomes performance problems associated with poorly suppressed aftermarket spiral conductor wires on both modern and older engines."

Thanks guys. Feel free to keep chiming in!
