I just rolled over 1K miles about 70 miles ago, and have yet to get the 1k tune up.... just wondering how important it is to get before spring comes.. how much do the dealers normally charge for the service? Im going to have to get a TPS reset to while im there... so just wondering. Anyone know if the buell of bloomingtion, IN does good with the TPS reset, cause ive heard that some dealers dont really know what they are doing with it.

Thanks,

alex

If after you're done with the maintance (primary fluid change, engine oil and filter change, clutch adj./inspect , primary adj./inpsect, inspect for loose bolts and leaks (oil hose fittings) and the thing idles and runs fine, then there really is no need for a TPS reset... A TPS reset should be no more than the cost of 30 minutes labor if you feel you absolulty need it done...

Best bet is, if you can, do it yourself ..Buy the service manual...you'll know it was done right...

892 if you dont like bloomington you can also go to Baileys in Ft.Wayne- I know they know what there doing. You mentioned about getting the race ECM, if I were you I would hold off on that till they get the direct link done. Then you should be able to just send DaveS your stocker to get remapped to your mods. TPS should not be more than 30.00 at the most.

Alex: H-D/Buell of Bloomington is a class dealership. The owner races Buells, and their mechanics do a pretty good job, too. I thought the dealership is pretty committed to Buells when I was there last year.
