Curious, because I see it done a lot, and have looked at the long, and liked it, but haven't got the bread to do it this year. Would love to keep the 05; if I can get extra space, it's a plus. Being 6'4" and about 255 makes me want the extra stretching out room. I know the tail itself is longer, but a lot of that is for passenger, right?

Besides, the S to R conversion with that short flyscreen absolutely rules, dontcha think? Just looks so trick.

I just did the tail conversion on my 2003 XB9S. I used the Custom seat from Buell and I have a lot more leg room than before. There is also enough space on the seat to slide back a bit for longer rides to straighten out my legs a bit more.

sounds great! Is there enough room for a passenger comfortably? I mean, if i remember anything about Sporties when I rode them, they say that the chicks kinda liked them for a, uhh, special reason. Anyways, I know that there has gotta be a little more room for them too, for the looks of things. And it's gotta be cheaper than getting a long....

Thanx for the feedback. I appreciate it.

As a follow up, is there anything in the knowledge base, or on the board pertaining to doing this? I would like to read up on it if anybody has a link. I already searched for it, but there seems to be only limited information on it. TIA
