Here is project Dark Twin. A lot of blood, sweat and, swearing went into this project,
I Would like to thank a few people for their help on this project.
Al @ American Sportbike for a speedy delivery of the ignition tool.
Andrew @ Chandler HD/Buell for helping me with everything I needed. If you need a good service writer/Parts guy, see Andrew, he rides a Buell to!
And finally a big thanks to Kevin Drum for building one bad a55 loud pipe, and by the way the 12 loud drummer is just as loud as the D&D.
It performs better than anything i've ridden, Shipping turn around was 1 week, faster than anybody i've ever dealt with. Thanks Kevin.
Heres the PICS

The black and red are a nice contrast. Gives the bike a hard-edged, agressive look. Metalstorm beat me to the punch
with "Sweet, Wicked, Mean & Nasty!" Very nice! Very unique!

After seeing the work in progress, I can say that the bike looks much better with all her parts back together. It turned out very nice, Jeremy...cheers!

Yea! the fork clamps I painted with them off the bike. So i would'nt have to get the forks rebuilt.
I will wait until the seals are leakig, then I'll powder the clamps and anodize the fork tubes, black of course!
Thanks Dan how was Hurricane Mesa last night!LOL

Did you paint or powder coat your primary and timing covers? I powder coated my primary, but haven't done the timing yet. I'm kind of nervous about taking the timing cover off. Let me know what it took to do that.

The Firebolts haven't any cosmetic updates shown for 2006 on Buell.com... I wonder if the factory folks are looking at this?

Any plans for the spoiler's center section, J?

That ride is sharp! I have always liked the dark motor compared to the magnesium one.

now thats the way it should come from the factory, looks bad a55 man. just one thing are you going to paint the lower chin faring if so use (krylon) I think thats how you spell it, plastic paint works great did it to mine, drys fast as hell too and there's no rock chipping yet.

I'm ordering the city x center section
the cam gear cover is a pain is the a55 to remove, if your not careful you could drop your cams, in other words make sure the valves are closed or a relaxed position, dealership told me i got lucky! i'm also preety sure you have to remove the head pipe to get to the bolts. yea you do have to on a 12 atleast. Since i already had the motor rotated i figured what the hell.
thanks everyone for the compliments.
