Which bolts corroded? That cover bolts? I know my City X ones are still looking good like day 1. I have had to replace the screw that goes on the clip for the oil lines though. I hate living in a salt area.

I'm trying to get some made, they're like $2.55 from Buell. Hopefully one of our sponsors will be able to sell them once I make them.

Stainless just went through the roof, it's going for over $1 a pound right now, more than double from a year ago.

There is a product called "Naval Jelly" that will clean the corrosion off the bolts. It's this kind of pink goo. Don't get it on paint. Also there is another product from the same company that seals bare metal. It leaves a very thin, clear, almost plastic-like coating. You can spray it on or brush it on. Very similar to stuff we used on airplanes in the Navy called "AMLGARD". It may not be too pretty, but it will deter corrosion until you can get the hardware replaced.
