Does anyone have any photos and/or advice for installing a Power Commander II on a XB9 with a D&D muffler? I curious how you set yours up and how you like it.

the power commander is very easy to install. remove seat, airbox cover, inner airbox cover, airbox base. on right side of stack are the fi connectors, pull them off and plug them into the pc and then plug the pc connectors into the fi. connect the tps sensor to the brown(purple) wier with a yellow lead. connect o2 sensor to the pc. did u get the dynojet o2? connect it. zip tie wires as needed and reassemble. takes an hour the first time.

Yes, I went ahead and purchased the high-performance O2 sensor. Is it worth the extra trouble to install? Where did you mount the module itself?

Blake -no, not for the track. It is running poorly in the lower RPMs where I cycle through riding on the street. Would probably never see it on the track...

I put the pc3 under passenger seat. Yeah you need to install that o2 sensor so you can alter the fuel curve from 0-1-2 before doing any fine tuning.

Also... You'll want a "summer" and "Winter" map. I've heard that the "problems" that people have with the PCIII and the Buell is that the IAT sensor changes the fuel curve. If they tuned it in the Winter, they had some trouble in the summer a vice versa...

One more thing... Is it a "K&N" PCII? If so, and it's the model for the X1, it's a PCIII : ).

John - I don't think there is room underneath the seat on the XB9S. What about mounting it on top of the flat spot of the XB12 air box?

Its small enough to fit there and you could velcro it in there just fine. I like it under the seat on my 9r; i can adjust it by popping the passenger seat of. under the airbox is 4 screws to adjust it.

If it's the X1 model number, it's a PCIII. K&N added an "80" to the model number, but if the rest of it is for the X1, then you've got a PCIII. They didn't market ANY true PCII's for X1's.
