Have just hit the 10000 mile mark, ran all day yesterday, about 175, miles in the 90's with high humidity. Bike was great..... THEN, after a stop by the Buell dealership, 10 - 15 min, then a 10 min blast through some twisties, I stopped for dinner, about an hour... When I went to start the bike, it acted like the battery was too weak. I hit the starter button, and got a few clicks and some buzzing. I did this twice, then out of futility, One more try, and it clicked, then turned over. It was a twenty min ride home. I have run it twice since, without a problem. Concerns? Any input appreciated, thanks

Yes, put a wrench on those battery connections even if the cables feel tight. Mine did the same thing. Problem went away after giving the terminal bolts a 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

Check for corrosion under the battery terminal wires. You want bright shiney terminals and lugs.

Okay, so my bike is acting stupid again. It wasn't the battery terminal wires being loose after all. The negative side if the starter switch terminal had a lot of corrosion on it. I took the throttle housing apart and cleaned up the starter switch terminal and now all is good.

You had the ignition turned to the park instead of the lock position? Lights left on and drained
the battery?

That's what happened to me!

This has happened to me on at least 5 occasions over the 21 months I have had the bike. It always happened when it was a hot day and all my trips were short rides and starting again after a short stop. I have checked all my connections and they were fine. If this happens again I will let you know.
