Motorcycle Online just posted a story about an Iron Butt Ride on an XB12S.

Here is a link to the story, but I think you will have to have to join to read the entire story.

Nice article. I know all those roads personally as do many of the AZ Badwebbers. Yup, there's a reason to put up with the 105 degree summers!

ya thats fun. electric vest is desirable for all night rides. the XB makes lots of extra electricity for lights and heat.

Glad you guys liked the article. It was a fun ride and I figured a little positive press for the XB on a general motorcycling site would be a good thing.

Re electric gear...yeah, I've gotta get some. Didn't even think about it before that ride but I can guarantee you I'll be buying before winter (or what passes for it here in AZ) hits again.

For those who don't have a MO subscription, I posted a similar write-up here.

WOW!! And I thought I was racking up the miles...What an awesome run Ethan!! You have an aftermarket seat on your 12? Corbin? I would be unable to sit for a week if I tried 1K on my City.

Dagwood, my bike's pure stock except for the bar-end mirrors.
