hey guy's just wondering if the break in on the bike has to be per owners manual and movie? I road my 12r yesterday 91 miles and did not over rev or go over 80mph the highest rpm was 4500, I know I had to take it easy so I did but I did not fallow the book to the letter. Its hard trying not to ride this bike hard can't waite

thanks Ty

The directions in the book will get you to a good starting point. After you get more comfortable with the bike you can play with the settings. There are a few charts floating around on here somewhere about more aggressive settings.

Enjoy the ride. I took it pretty easy on my 12r for the first 500 miles but let me tell you it ain't easy.

My bike came from the dealer with the suspension setting way off from what the book said. It was set up for like a 200lb rider on the front and the rear was set up for like a 130lb rider.

But like you said, not much use tweeking the suspension on a bike your not familiar with yet and can't ride fast anyway.

If you do a search for "suspension settings" you should come up with lots of good reading material.

12bolt, Setting the suspension no matter how fast you ride will make a huge difference, set it as per the manual, It will give you instruction on how to set it up and go ride, you will notice a difference.

New12r- I agree, I would caution tweeking the suspension to much from manual instructions till you get to know her.
