Well I made it that far before the thing croaked. Coming home from work the other night and the speedo just dropped dead.

I have the part ordered from Dave. Any suggestions/tips on changing it out?

Mine crapped out at 21,000, got the new one and took the old one off, found the insulation rubbed through on one of the wires. Put the new one on anyway. Now I have a spare. It is a pretty tight fit.

When you install, make sure that the plastic sprocket guard does not rub on the sensor wire. Other than that, its an easy fix.

What's the best price you guys have found for the 03 9R speed sensor?

I suggest you find out what size Hex key you need. I know it's between a 4 and 5 metric hex, it's some SAE size I think. I don't know for sure my SAE Hex keys do not angle down so I can't use them.

I bought the ones that fit on a ratchet. Found they work quite well. Don't get the cramps in your fingers either.

Honestly when I order from Dave, I don't even bother with pricing because I know that I get the best price from him already, and the best service.

I bought the same thing at Sears... that fit a ratchet. The set is under $20.00
