Took me a while to figure out what tool to use for the front spark plug. I just wanted to document what worked excellent for me....

The small black piece is called a "socket cap" an allows you to turn the socket with a lower profile ratcheting wrench.

PS--This tool allows for removal of the front spark plug WITHOUT rotating the motor.

Can we get any more advice on how you did your spark plug or valve adjustment without rotating the engine?

You have to rotate the engine to do the valve adjustment, but you can replace the front spark plug without rotating the engine.

There are threads and youtube vids (probably most helpful) on the process to remove the front spark plug without rotating the engine. There is also a thread that refers to this tool sans pics...so I am not the originator of this tool.

Basically you have to remove the airbox and the airbox base/rubber throttle body gasket to gain access to the front spark plug. By far the most difficult part for me was getting the coil tube back in the hole. I used some grease and lots of swear words, and it finally dropped in after several attempts.
