I just got this master cylinder and haven't installed it yet. My question is, can i use the OEM brake line or do I need to replace it because the banjo bolt is in the wrong direction? Thank you! | ||

I have a 2008 with the stock front brake master cylinder, and a 2009 with a Brembo front brake master cylinder, it looks like the same brake line on both. | ||

This master cylinder is now on my bike. But dang--the lever bumps into the fairing-stay. And it's not a matter of, "Oh just keep moving it around till you find the sweet spot." No, at it's best it gently rubs the stay and engages the brake. How have you dealt with this? (I've temporarily epoxied a nut on the right hand steering lock, limiting the turning radius of the bars. Pulling out of a parking lot onto the street is kind of fhked up.) | ||

Pics? Yes! This is full lock with the nut installed. You can see where the lever touched before, while I was trouble shooting this.   (Message edited by duanelr on March 11, 2018) | ||

suggestion...1) rotate the twist grip forward ( yes you have to drill a hole ( not thru)) in the "handlebar" to have the twist grip housing "index/stop rotation" pin align with the new hole 2) rotate the new M/C down and see if that will allow you clearance without the "stop nut" here's some pix of mine with a Gixxer M/C    | ||

You could scoot the fairing stay forward an inch or so. You could make some brackets like I made for lowering my fairing, also in this forum. Only without lowering, just moving forward. | ||

While sitting on the bike rotate the levers so that they line up with the outside edge of the front tire. I know you can't really see it but thats the ideal angle. |
