Hi everyone,

This vandalized 1125 popped up around here last week:

http://link.marktplaats.nl/m1080469081

As circumstances would have it, I have a broken XB12R in the shed (engine totally busted), but with all the other parts intact.

Do you guys know whether it would be possible to transfer the rear fairing over to the 1125 or are these different despite looking extremely similar?

Excellent.

I'll see if I can pick the bike up this week and will let you guys know how it goes.

As always, there was more to the story of this bike. Turns out it wasn't just vandalism. Forks touched the frame on the right as well as the left side and there was nasty click in the headstock and there were sharpie markings on one of the forks. So pretty serious crash damage someone else had already started work on, and stopped (for some reason). That reason might have something to with the oil leak that ran along the bottom centre of the engine. They still wanted 3k for it. Needless to say, we walked away.

Good news is that we did find a replacement engine for our Firebolt (at a different shop). So that bike still might live to see another day (instead of donating its bits to an 1125).

(1125 is still a bad-ass looking bike though in the flesh, damn)
