I'm sure this is talked about somewhere in here, but how do I know if my bike has this? I have the stator out right now, and am replacing the regulator as well. While looking at other stuff I saw a you tube thread about this, now I'm a little confused. Without the stator or regulator in, I have 1 square female plug with 3 prongs, that is located closer to the throttle bodies. When I replace the stator and regulator, the stator has a square make 3 prong(looks like 4 with one missing) and the regulator has a female that matches. Does the stator plug not go into the regulator plug? What would this extra plug be for? It has a oem part tag on it.

Get this sorted out?

If there is a relay with 3 yellow wires, that would be the harley fix.

The stator should go directly to the VR when upgrading.

I didn't see one with 3 wires, I ran the stator right to the regulator. Rode it for a little bit, and initially it was runnin 41.1-14.4, but then I ride it later and it was going up and down from 13-13.8....is this normal. I put in a Ricks stator and regulator

Yeah after any stator or alternator gets warm voltage will go down a little.

This is what the HD relay harness looks like.

Wow, not sure what I was picturing when you said a plug with three wires, but that's exactly what I have. But I plugged the stator right into the regulator, so all should be well. Is there anything that needs to be done with the rest of the wires, or as long as I have the stator into the regulator I'm fine? Still gotta figure out how to get photos on here easier, since I use all apple products

You are saying that you do/did have the harness pictured on your bike?

As long as you have bypassed the harness it should be ok.
