I had a weird power delivery problem spring up yesterday. I'm sure this is a generic motorcycle problem and not Buell specific, I just haven't found the troubleshooting logic beyond what I've done.

Instead of instant power delivery after I clutch in an upshift, there's a delay before the throttle is applied. Throttle cables are adjusted. It doesn't delay at all when I rev freely or go for a downshift.

It happens even when I clutchless upshift, but not all the time. Slowly cruising and lazily plop it up a gear and it'll be a .5 second delay, even if I romp on it... it'll just instantly go to that throttle setting, like an electronic delay.

Once I'm in gear there is absolutely no problem--I can roll on and off, or crank it and it's super responsive, like normal. It only happens just after an upshift.

I don't feel any catches in the throttle cables, plus it doesn't do it when I rev in neutral, and I verified both butterflies are working in unison.

Recent changes: high bar kit, topped off the oil. Could too much oil affect the clutch? I've verified twice using the revised hot oil check procedure and it's well within spec.

Just kinda stumped.

Off the top of my head, I would try resetting the TPS.

I have no idea of why it might have changed, but it's easy enough to do.

The one thing I didn't try... I should make a poster in my garage that says "RESET TPS BEFORE BADWEBBING"

I'll try that and take another look at the throttle cables, it's the only other thing I could find.

After a lot of searching, I don't think my clutch/oil level is the problem.
