Like I said, she cuts off after 25-30 minute rides...
2008 Buell 1125r Anniversary with 5,712 on the odometer...
Bought a new Ricks Voltage Regulator and a fresh battery before winter and she ran fine. Now she cuts off after short rides and have to limp home making many unscheduled stops... WTF so tired off this problem... Is it a relay, alternator, stator or just the Buell FLU???

Obviously the battery is draining at a rapid rate and then it shuts off... Starts off charged up to the top...

I would put a voltmeter on the battery and monitor the voltage during one of these 30 min rides. It could be as simple as a battery not holding charge.

Or...

The other thing with 2008 models is the fact that one needs to shut off the bike using the ON/OFF switch on the right handlebar before turning the key off. This is a software glitch unique to 2008 1125's that was fixed on the 2009 models. What are you doing?

+1 on what Sparky suggested...
a) sometimes in our haste to finish a job we overlook the details...does the Rick's VR have a fused connector to the battery (+)?...is there a fuse in the connector housing?
b) WASG...take the seat off and look for the big grey connector ( it's coming from the stator) with the (3) yellow wires going into it and feeding the VR is toast...the conntacts or the wire going into or coming out is not making connection...no power coming into the VR= no power coming out ( to charge the battery) Youtube is your friend...go here to see some basic trouble shooting procedures:

a low cost ($20-$30) Digital VOM can be purchased at WalMart or Autozmne...don't need anything as fancy as the on in the movie...
I use an EQQUS 3320 Innova autoranging type...about $20 from WalMart...Hope this helps
