My low side tore my Vanson gauntlet gloves up pretty bad and my Rocket boots were already ripped almost all the way around about three inches up. My Buell two piece race suit actually faired quite well and I plan to get that repaired. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Quality brands with good reputation:

* Taichi
* Held
* Sidi

There are other good makes, but I've used and crashed in the above with good outcomes.

Ask RodRob, I think he's crashed in just about everything made ; )

Taichi
Sidi
Dainese boots but the gloves are too soft.

Sidi boots
AXO or Taichi leathers
Spidi back/chest protector
Cortech or Alpinstar gloves

And yeah, I've crashed in all these and walked away relatively unscathed.

Funny thing is, I'm sure 3 days from now you will have all the manufacturers listed.

I've had my eye on these, I like the added Knox palm protection.

May not quite be track worthy.

If you have big hands (I don't) tate a look at http://safrace.com
for gloves.
I currently race with Helimot gloves. I am big believer in soft armor. Hard armor is a marketing gimmick which transfers impact energy into you, IMHO.
I used Sidi Vortice, but have switched to Dianese Axial Pro In boots.

Motoport made my new suit

to interface with the boot. So much easier to get in and out of.

I've got a pair of the Dainese TRQ Race Out Air Boots for the street and I'm a big fan. Hard to beat the entry/exit mechanism compared to some of the Sidi boots.
