Failed for remove the sprag clutch from the old rotor and install on the new one. Rode it maybe a mile up the road in testing it.

Question for everyone:

How screwed am I having done that little bit? Like, am I looking a far more expensive screw up than before now?

Any input, as always, is greatly

Isn't the sprag clutch needed for the starter motor to crank the engine to start or am I missing something? If so how did you start it to get down the road?

That's what I thought! I was thinking "Is there some magical part that I missed that I didn't believe to be the sprag clutch."

But no, not the case. EBR sent me a rotor with the sprag clutch already installed, as I thought, so my meltdown yesterday was in vain.

I feel way better now, that's for sure. And not as mechanically inept as I did last night either.
