May i introduce, my new trackbike:

loads of ilmberger carbon stuff, a lot of selfmade carbon stuff, loads of ebr stuff, speedshifter and laptimer from starlane, shiftlight and tire-watch and and and...

was quite a bit of work and can't wait to get onto the track...think mugello is next.

sorry for the bad quality pics...

I'm wondering if I'll ever get to where you are. What you've done was my initial intention.

Excellent work...I'm jealous

Way to expensive body work for the track!! Fiberglass not to much heavier but ohh so muchh cheaper to fix when it gets wadded up. Otherwise nice bike!

Pardon any ignorance of knowledge on my part here, but isn't that a stock exhaust with a lot of weight?
I do love the look man!

yep, it's expensive bodywork, but at the other hand it does a protective job too, better than any glassfiber stuff, and it shouldn't break, just scratch, and i'm able to repair carbonfibre, see the sidescoops, i did them myself from heavily damaged ones. anyway, i'm not planning to crash this bike. i'm an old fart and my trackday's goals are reaching good times for myself. there are always faster people out there. i accepted that fact. i did that bike for fun, i like doing this stuff, hang out in my workshop.

yes, the original exhaust is heavy, but since there are very rigid noise-limits on most european racetracks, they are cool with oem-exhaust though. (weight-saving is overrated anyway)

here is the list of the mods:

engine:

- intake stacks twincycle
- iridium spark plugs
- durbahn lifepo4 battery
- optimized airbox (snorkel modified, better airflow)
- castrol 10w40 racing oil
- castrol race brake fluid
- stahlbus oil drain vents
- öhlins steering damper
- dyno optimized ecm/mapping
- carbon undertray, self made
- ebr front brake rotor, race pads
- ebr rear brake rotor (headache)
- ebr gas cap
- ebr footpegs
- pazzo short levers
- ebr clutch actuator
- lsl front preload adjusters
- k&n airfilter
- tab water and water wetter as coolant
- ilmberger fairing
- starlane nrg speedshifter (that is a fantastic thing)
- starlane stealth3x laptimer
- tire-watch-system (temps, pressures)
- motogadget shiftlight and gear-indicator
- keyless operation of the whole bike with sep. kill button
- brigdgestone r10 race tires
- dataport and chargingport on the rear of the bike for easy access

...and other things. i like the 1125, it's a very reliable bike with an excellent engine, except the fact that changing tires (since they got this big rotors) is a headache on the buells, compared to other bikes. but it's fun and easy to do things on this, maybe you remember my previous mod on my other 1125r

sooooo its not a RR but a 1125R with a bunch of CF?
A bit misleading since there is actually a 1125RR model

The actual 1125RR is a pretty rare bike. I'd love to have one, but then I'd want to ride it, and it's in such a high state of tune I can't imagine what the service intervals would be!

Isn't it something like 175 RWHP?

Nice work! I'd offer one suggestion, though. . . You better rub some dirt or grease on there somewhere to de-magnetize that skippy bodywork before you "hit" the track.

Nice mods but the most glaring defect of the 1125r is the inability to vary gearing without spending at least $3,000 for the chain conversion kit!!

Cherry Bomb, your bike looks great but don't you think it could use some track parts? I have the follow track parts available:

- chain drive (used one track day);
- mag rear wheel setup by EBR for chain drive;
- sprockets and chain;
- EBR race exhaust mounted, started and not used after that;
- programmable ECM with DSB map for race exhaust;

Let me know if would like to put these parts on your track bike.
Thanks,
Doug

I can make you a much better deal that $3K and you would get a mag rear wheel setup by EBR for the chain drive and the sprockets and chain you will also need. All used only one track day.
