Has anyone come up with an alternate "auto parts" part number for the 1125 starter solenoid? The counter guy at my HD told me to try an auto parts for one (since they don't have one ... go figure).

solenoid (big gauge wires hook up to it) or starter relay ( black, in the plastic relay box back by the battery)?
Solenoid - I suggest you remove it and try a NAPA auto parts store, or try Al at American Sportbike, or J&P cycle.
Relay - it's a common auto headlight relay- the auto parts guy should be able to cross it - it's common on HD Vrods to fail
good luck

some of the electrical parts seem to be sourced from european suppliers - might want to start at a foreign car parts store first...also might try searching some V twin/Vrod forums...HD likes to use "common" parts in some areas..again, good luck
