have any light weight guys gone before me and bought new springs? what did you buy and how did it work for you? I have been eyeing race techs web site/products and think I am about to make a purchase. I am 160 with gear, ride back roads aggressively, lots of wheelies  and I am thinking: front springs RT FRK SPR 40.0x38.0x310 .90kg rear spring RT SK SPR 58.2x178 8.5kg-83N thanks, todd | ||

You MUST get the right spring rates. If you cannot adjust front sag to 35mm and rear to at least 25-30, you have the wrong springs. Traxxion Dynamics has a spring chart and I belive Race Tech does also but call them. It's a CHEAP investment and correct springs will do WONDERS for handling! | ||

And to add - a chart of springs ONLY works on forks, the rear depends on linkages and geometries. | ||

iv had this issue since day one getting my R. when i bought the bike i weighed MAYBE 130. now im about 140 145, and i cant get the bike to feel how i want. i also dont really know much about bike suspension or where to even look or start on what i need. | ||

rear spring - scroll down with pics http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/618487.html?1302479534 front springs - see below....cut the pre load spacer http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/624343.html?1302631666 basically you have a 100 watt Harman Kardon Amp hooked up to those cheap speakers that came with your WalMart PC - the amp can't be used past it's #2 Volume setting because the speakers are too small....the springs are too strong for the suspension - the clickers can't be used past their softest setting - the suspension doesn't move due to the lack of "load" (your weight)...gotta get bigger speakers or gain some weight! Sorry but there's no magic wrench to make the suspension work "perfect" for everyone. ( I'm old and weigh 195 in my Bday suit...I can dial in Preload and dampening based on my "ride attitude" for that day,, due to the softer spring- the Preload and clickers actually do something that I can feel)) Like they say at CalPoly .."Learn by Doing" Good luck | ||
