sooo i am a pretty big guy last got on scale in jeans and t-shirt tipped at 248lbs. through on my full suit etc figure getting close to 280 all said and done. i've got the front end cranked pretty tight after adjusting sag and what not.

question: the showa springs listed on Erik Buell Racing will they fit the stock forks?

Get the fork package. The valves in the stock forks aren't going to be ideal for you, either.

Save your money. Springs, seals and oil are going to be more than $100 even if you do it yourself.

no i hadn't before but their calc is pretty cool. their springs are a bit spendy. if the ones on Erik's site will fit the bike then i wil get them and maybe the gold valves later. looks like the rear spring is to light also esp when i go 2-up.

I get circus clown, big guy small bike comments once in a while. Do you?

gpsuspension.com has done my forks and shocks since my 96 S1 was a baby and lacking preload settings on WP forks meant tuning happened at refresh time. It took a while that way, each time the bike became better.

The CR got gpsuspensions valving/spring treatment the month I bought it and I tuned it in another month.

These guys have several CNC machines humming away making bits for their custom valving for a variety of bikes. They also make step up cartridges, compression needles....

Boogi -
The springs fit the cartridge kit, not the stock forks.

"1.05 KG/MM SHOWA RACE CARTRIDGE FORK SPRING
Optional spring for the Showa 25mm cartridge kit."

yes, the Erik Buell Racing springs are for the cartridge kits, NOT the stock forks.
