There were two Buell’s running in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class and one running in the American Superbike class at Laguna Sega on Sunday. Shawn Higbee Finished 12th and Chase McFarland finished 25th in the DSB Class. Geoff May, running for the Erik Buell Racing Team, finished 10th. Speed Channel televised both races late last night. I think Speed is going to run them again this week. I saw very little of the Buell’s in the DSB race, but they actually showed a brief stint of May battling with four other bikes for the 8th spot. Its great to see the Buell’s competing again in the DSB class that Danny Eslick won overall on his Rossmeyer/Geico Buell last year.

I watched it on Speed and they finally showed Geoff battling for 8th position with Eric Bostrom and Chris Peris, who eventually passed him and finished only .3 seconds ahead. I was watching the lap times also on the ticker and Geoff was only 1.5 seconds off the front-runners' pace. He was pulling some great power wheelies out of turn 11 onto the front straight, so the torque looks immense.

He finished in front of a bunch of "known" riders such as Jason Pridmore, Chris Ulrich (who was behind Geoff when he crashed out), and Jeremy Toye.

Pizzaboy - please post your pictures from the pits!
