I was looking at my Buell poster today (thanks Court!) and noticed that while the 1125's and the XB-R's appear to have the same tail section, the XB-R's mount their license plate snug and tidy under the bottom (as opposed to cantilevering it way out back like the 1125's).

I suppose the undertail parts are different, but I was just wondering if the license plate bracket from the XB-R will bolt up to an 1125 tail assembly. Anybody tried it?

Yep, tried and failed - the undertray shape is totally different and it will not bolt up, also the indicator arms on the XBR tail tidy foul the undertray.

You know EBR has a plate Eliminator for $20 with that a peace of aluminum angle and presto you have a neat tail for under $30
