OK, as some of you know I've long wanted an 1125r, which is why I've been following this forum. I thought in another year or two, given the fact my financial future is a bit shaky right now.
Still, I've been quoted a price on an 09 that seems too good to let go: $6,500 plus tax and title.
If I go for it, I know there are some things I want to be sure of:
1. That it has the latest flash. How do I check to be sure that has been done.
2. What other known warranty issues on an 09 do I need to be ensured have been taken care of?
3. De-noided; Can the dealer do it, or can they only supply me the part and instructions.
4. I want the suspension appropriately set up for me before I leave (basic sag and whatever). What are the odds they will be competent and can I expect that?
5. I though I would push to have the Buell parts steering damper thrown in. Think that’s asking too much. (I have the competition license that I understand Buell requires for some unknown reason.)
What else do I need to know or ask about.
I really shouldn't be doing this now. but...

1. Flash is quick and easy. Done at dealer for free (most dealers).
2. Dealer should've checked for any open recalls (required by law before selling)
3. Dealer can't denoid (unless bike is being used exclusively for track use). They can sell you the resistor to keep the trouble code from happening.
4. Owners manual will walk anybody through the suspension set up. A good dealer would do this but might charge you a few minutes.
5. Buy the damper. If you are like most other new Buell buyers within the past few days, you are already stealing the bike for $7k or less!!!
