Hey All,

Had the "brake line" recall done on the '08R about a week ago and took a closer look at the new little bracket and stuff. Everything looked "ok", then I noticed that when I turn the bars to the left, like when your going to lock the steering head, that the brake line (the rigid section just below the master cylinder) hits the right side of the gauge cluster before the forks hit the stop. Looking at the brake master cylinder there is a small post that sticks out preventing the brake line from being loosened up and rotated to the right. Because mine hits the cluster there is about a 1/8" gap before the forks hit the stop.
Questions:
1) Does your brake line hit the cluster before the forks come to the full stop (turning bars to the left)?
2) What side of the little "post" (that's on the master brake cylinder) is your brake line on?

FYI: When I picked the bike up from the dealer they said that my original line was in good condition, no indication of rubbing or wear.

roll the master cylinder on the bar the appropriate amount that is comfortable for you to keep it from hitting.

Just a follow-up...
Back in late June took the "R" back to my local dealer and showed them the problem. Turns out the line was mounted incorrectly (at the master cylinder) from the factory, so they pulled it off, flipped it over, bled the brakes and it's good to go. Thanks Livermore HD/Buell.
