Any comment from the cognoscenti on this product?

Since the seller is Ohio i assume it is the tuner XB9 is selling. Uses ECMSpy to download the raw hex data and then his program interprets the hex data and allows you manipulate it.

Then you use ECMSpy to upload the modified raw hex data again.

I would also agree that it is XB9's program, there is even a link to his website. I am very interested, but it looks confusing and a little out of my league.

looks unusable without a dyno and a sniffer to me. otherwise how would you know what effect your adjustments were having on up until your motor melts down? Just my opinion though

Product is as advertised, and is definitely worth the price of admission, IMO. Actually very simple to use. Start with the pre-loaded base map of your model/year, and adjust fuel/timing as necessary. Changes made are highlighted for ease of identifying. Next, make those corresponding changes in ECMspy and update.

As with any tuner, logging and/or dyno is required for best results. There have been posted reports of good results so far just adding x% fuell to all cells across the board.

I am an owner of the software that has decided to wait for dyno time to properly execute on this software's capabilities.

I have no affiliation with the developer, and am merely providing my opinion of a product I have purchased and used.

I have no doubt that this software works, but as Ponti1 says, you really have to have a dyno to reap the benefits. How much $ will you end up spending in dyno use in order to get this to work properly? Is there not a set % that is known that can be set to each cell? ... basically a known remap that the purchaser could benefit from with out the guess work.

Shouldn't be too hard to collect some samples.

I'd help, but I can't run it because I don't use Windows or Excel... I use OpenOffice.org on Ubuntu Linux for my spreadsheet needs.

I guess in my mind, that's the benefit of also having the forum that is referenced in the eBay ad. Participation in the forum joins users of the software together to learn from each other, just as with so many things discussed here on BadWeb.

Maybe the custom maps are to be available in the future? I don't know. I suppose the likelihood of someone offering them is pretty good. I know a guy that does tons of maps for XBs has also added options to purchase 1125 tuning to his website @ $150.

Since every engine is a little different straight from the factory, and there are so many variables (elevation, exhaust/intake modifications, etc.), a purchased map is not likely to give the same results as tuning specific to the individual bike.

I'll admit that when I started this thread I did not expect positive responses. I went ahead and purchased the item; I do have a dyno nearby; so I'll keep you posted.
