Hey all, Im looking for any personal experiences with dealers in So Cal that were good ones. Since the latest recall news Im starting my search for a competent mechanic. My experience with the dealer the bike came from left me a little leary of the knowledge the service department has for these bikes. When I first bought the bike, I had an engine light come on, so she went back the next day to get checked out. What I was told was, there was no history of any error codes and that everything was functioning normal. When I got home I searched this forum for directions to access the DM, this is when I discovered that actually 2 error codes existed. I called the dealer back and explained this to them and the response was "Hmmm, Im not really sure" ? I realize that there is a huge learning curve right now and I will try to be patient with it, but as the consumer, I am very cautious with who gets to work on my bike. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
Rob

Rob,it may be a little bit of a ride for you, but Glendale Harley/Buell has a great service department. Two of their Buell techs have been to the 1125 training, and the other one (who has done all the service on my bike) seems to know just as much- he did a lot of research and has a lot of practice with these bikes- I trust these guys with my bike any day of the week. The sales staff and parts dept are both first rate. If you go to Willow Springs for the races, you will always see Ernie, the main Buell guy from Glendale working in the pits, and sometimes, out there racing.

I have to go down to the dealership for the recall service one of the next few weekends. PM me if you want to meet up and we can head on down there.
